In the spring of 2011, Shanna worked with Straight North to create around 80 pages of Web content for a new website for Plato Learning, a leading provider of high-value, comprehensive online educational solutions.
BAYTREE BANK
In January-February 2011, Shannalee worked with Straight North to create about 25 pages of Web content for a new website for Baytree Bank, a community bank serving Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and the surrounding communities.
SEO Copywriting
In June 2010, Shannalee completed two projects for Straight North in which she wrote 400-word topical articles. Because these articles were aimed at improving search engine optimization rankings, she incorporated given keywords whenever possible. Residential Real Estate Listings
Buy Owner provides a variety of advertising packages to home sellers, including ads like this elite. Previously in-house (June 2007 through June 2010) and now as a contract writer, Shannalee creates copy for each section of the property, from the exterior to the living room to the walkout basement. For every elite-sized ad, she also writes photo captions and a four-paragraph magazine ad.
Company Communications Projects
Shannalee designed any and all copy for company communications, including new text for the website. When Buy Owner’s new eCatalog subscriptions went live, she wrote and oversaw copy for e-mail announcements, customer instructions and, as pictured here, online descriptions.
Other Copywriting
Another example of Shanna’s copywriting at Buy Owner is in front pages on the website, as seen in this snapshot of the mortgage info page. She has also written copy for other welcome pages, such as Housefly and testimonials.
THE ORCHARD

Part of The Orchard Evangelical Free Church in Arlington Heights, The Orchard College Ministry needed some rewriting of its current print and Web materials in the spring of 2010. Shannalee rewrote its one-page ministry guide, as well as several online pages detailing specific ministries.
Ministry Guide
Published three times a year, the ministry guide details specific events and activities planned for a given season. Shanna wrote copy for the winter/spring 2010 guide after discussing its intended goal with the college ministry leader.
Online Copy
Shanna also rewrote several Web pages for The Orchard’s college ministry, including The Bigger Picture, Summer Ministry and School Year Ministry.
